Mossy, it's a bolt gun. Do you really think they'll push it that far on bolt guns?

Man, I'd take that barter-for-labor deal and run with it. Since your cash position is weak, what other choice do you have, right? (Besides downsizing to a more affordable car, etc).
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
        Come on...what harm??

That's a great looking rifle, too bad you have to part with it.

Side note, what kind of Audi? I have an S6 that I believe has the same trans as the S4, and honestly I'm not a big fan of that trans. At least, not paired up with a V10.

Edit: Nevermind looks like it's a different trans than the s6

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

If she gets the nom then yes. She's going after everything, she won't start there but the writing will be on the wall. Honestly, any rational person looking at the numbers can only see two ways of going. Our way or ban them all, there isn't a middle ground that works (I don't think ban them all works either but it's the only one that works with the numbers).

She might go after banning all guns, but she wouldn't get very far. Look how far Obama got with expanded background checks. Everyone knows it would fail miserably so it wouldn't cause much of a panic.

Besides, an immediate (or over the course of only 4-8 years) blanket ban on all guns goes against the core philosophy of the democratic party - To slowly take away rights inch by inch and hope that nobody notices.

The only thing Obama accomplished is exponentially multiply the number of guns owned by Americans, exponentially multiply the amount of ammo Americans keep at home, caused every city and state to require handguns to be legal, and caused the number of CCW licenses issued to rise three-fold (nearly 1 in 20 adults has a permit to carry, compared to 1 in 50 in 2007) with the highest amount of state reciprocity we've seen in decades. We've lost a lot of rights in CA, but on a national level I'd say we've gained quite a bit of ground despite his administration trying to do the opposite.

It's a transmission on a AWD car. A buddy could do it for $200.00 and not feel taken. Your buddy is not your buddy.

I'd do the trade. My old Ford F150 tranny will cost $5K to replace when it goes and I'm sure your '' poor man's Mercedes'' tranny would be a lot more than that.

Well that's your problem. Never give the keys to your ride to a tranny.

(note to self: I must be very careful on how I phrase words and sentences while on calguns.)

and your post also reminds that our very own Fremont James has been M.I.A. from calguns for a while now...maybe his girrlfriend took off in a Audi?

I believe he got the permaban.
He pops up on the nightowls subforum on caprc occasionally.

First off, it's FWD, secondly a full tip-tronic to manual swap. The average amount of labor on this specific job is around 20 hours. Plus $2,200 in parts. Not sure where u got your $200 idea from.

This is what I need for the swap.
