    What's my rifle worth?

I'm trading it and need an idea of it's value. In order to save time I'm going to post pics of the specs and the rifle and a link for the scope. Please help me out guys. Thanks

It's a .300 WinMag with about 140 rounds through it.

Scope is a Falcon Menace 4-18x44

In this current market its NOT worth NEAR what you think.... This is a buyers market. To me thats worth 1k, but it could sell for $1500.00. If you want to see how cheap rifles on selling go to snipershide and check out the for sale section.

        This...

If you're not hard up on cash, then I'd wait.

          I was thinking 1300.

You'd probably get more separating the scope from the rifle if you were selling instead of trading.

You'd probably get $250 for the scope and $1100-1200 for the rifle without the scope.

You could probably build a new, comparable rifle for $1900.

You lose almost all value spent on gunsmithing.
It's worth what the parts cost, but less now because the parts are used and have been assembled.

                I'll go with $1400.
                $350 for the action/trigger/rail.
                $300 for the barrel/brake.
                $150 bottom metal.
                $400 stock.
                $200 scope/rings

                    The problem is
right now, its only super-special to you.
Be patient though and someone will want it and pay your price.
                    Good luck.

Probably a trade would be better than a sale at this point.

I'm hard up for cash or else I never would sell it. My tranny went out in my Audi so I'm getting a 6spd S4 trans swapped in. The owner of the shop is a friend and had his eye on my rifle for exchange of labor.

That's probably the best value you'll get. With custom/semi-custom work, it doesn't command a big premium in the general market, but it might be worth it for someone with a specific focus. Namely, if someone KNOWS the rifle, he may be willing to spend more to get that known commodity vs. an unknown one.

ETA, Do you really love the rifle that much? You've only got 140 rounds down it in 3 years.

Yup I do love it. I just don't get out to the range as much as I would like to. I've always taken it with me but shoot my other rifles way more. And with the imminent completion of my new AR308, I feel that I can let the bolt gun go. I kinda prefer shooting .308 to .300WM as well. I've become a bit more recoil sensitive lately :[

its probably the best deal you are going to get now so i would do it. if you can wait till Hillary gets the democrats nomination, the gun will be worth more then, because there will be a panic and everything will be in high demand. right now, your gun is not super special or worth much in the market.
