Missing a hammer, safety and slide lock/barrel pin. Doesn't look too operable.
            It is beaten, though!

This is as close as my collection comes to a beater, though I wouldn't really call it that. It's an early '20 Colt Army Special and while the finish is fairly rough, it shoots like a champ!

I'm willing to bet that the above posted 1911 is a gun found in a fire. Its clasic fire / rust damage including the ruptured portion of the magazine from rounds being exposed to the heat from the fire going off.

Poor Taurus PT1911. Must have been new old stock.

My buddy fished his ruger out of a house fire last year. The frame was all melted through the cylinder and barrel. He said he was sending it in for a factory tune up to see if they would replace it! His marley was similarly melted, the brake calipers were turned into small pools which served to hold the rotors vertical. It was amazing to see this stuff!

Taurus M80, rust specks all over, taken to the field and used well. And, shoots accurately. I'm procrastinating about re-bluing, but it will be done!

Just got it recently for cheap. US Army Colt 1911 manufactured in 1915. It doesnt have much finish left, but I think it gives it a really cool look. Its just too bad that someone replaced the factory sights with some 1980s target ones, although it does make it easy to shoot and it is pretty dang accurate. It had some old mushy rubber grips on it, I put these rosewood ones on.
