Glocks are durable and common...why are you stuck with 10 rounds in a SHTF scenario?Comment

Glock hands down for emergencies. 1911 for fun. Im a 1911 guy, but wouldnt trust my life with them. I just went to the range and had ftf with a few 1911s, but zero issues with my XDm or XD.sigpicComment

That's a personal choice that you need to make for yourself after you've handled both. It's like apples and kasaba melons, you know?
1911 is single stack with a smaller grip and different angle.
G21 is a beast, the grip is huge.
If you have small hands you'll probably feel better with the 1911.
Reliability wise, I'd give the nod to the G21. I've got a gen 3 that I bought new in '01, I have no idea how many rounds have been shot through it, but 4k would be a conservative estimate. Never a problem.
I love my 1911 (Sig), but I've probably only got about 1200 rounds through it, and all of it 230g ball, and no probs with it either.
If it were me, the toss up would be between my G21 and USP. Mainly 'cause I've got gorrila hands and like the 12 and 13rd mag capacity.Comment
