You guys have to handle one before dros it. I went to rifle gear and the one they had the slide were wobble on the frame. I didn't brother ask them to bring another one out from the back coz the sales said it is normal to all MC operator .After a week, I saw one at turners. The slide were much tighter than the one I dry fired at rifle gears. Btw, I jail that baby at the spot.

Well I did it. Did the DROS today. Still have to wait for 10 days.

I found one of these. $1400 out the door for the MC operator. I'm not sure it's worth it? Doesn't even have front strap checkering.

How much did you guys pay for yours?

$1100, but that was like 8 or 9 years ago..



I LOVE THIS 1911.

For being an off the shelf gun, it's super tight, crazy accurate and dead nuts reliable. I've fired every kind of .45 acp through this thing and it doesnt flinch... wolf, jhps, aluminum cases, etc, etc.. nothing stops it.

Odd.. mine has no wobble at all. It's surprisingly tight for a non-custom gun.

Those terms are not mutually exclusive. "Operator" in Springfield lingo just means the gun has an integrated rail.

TRP's get a little more loving from the factory. Have shot both. Own a pair of TRP's. The MC Operator is excellent as well

Sometimes, you are at the right place at the right time... I was at a LGS and a guy walks in asking about consignment. I overheard him talking about trying to sell on Gunbroker and no bites. I could not see what was in the blue Springfield box, so I asked and saw a gun I have wanted for a long time (really wanted a full rail)So on the spot we negotiated and I picked this up for $950!
