Dan Wesson PM7 vs Springfield MC Operator

I am torn between these 2. The only thing I know about these guns are they're both 1911 Full Size 45ACP and price are close enough. I like them both but unfortunately I can't buy both. I really appreciate any input or comments on both of these guns good and bad.

    TIA

I think this will be pretty split with the edge going towards the DW. Personally I would go for the Springfield.

      Op- location?

I'm sure more would go for the DW due to the name branding. I own a MC and love it but if the price were close I'd get the DW.

Dan Wesson I've seen them both side by side hand in hand.

I did see them both today side by side as well. DW looks nicer but I just love the rugged look of that MC Operator.

Springfield Armory just posted a pic on their website of the updated MC Operator coming out at Shot Show....VZ grips and appears to have some front strap checkering.

And this model will probably be off roster due to the changes.

Yup, it doesn't take much. And there goes another one.

I am not sure the price are close enough for comparison.

Is it safe to say MC Operator is around $1200 and the PM7 is around $1400 ??

I think we are comparing apples to oranges. The MC is under their Loaded line, it just has lots of upgrades, but still under their Loaded production line.

The stainless TRP or Trophy Match (1300-1400 ??) should so against the PM7.

As far as I know, DW's have no MiM parts, that where the Springfield saves in cost in that production line.

Yes, appears it will have a new model #.

DW has a pretty large fan club here (with good reason). I prefer the Springfield because I owned one and it was really nice. I had to sell it when money got tight but I'm getting another. It's the only gun I have sold and regretted.

I think you will be happy either way.
