My two SSE acquisitions

It looks like she is leaning towards the VP9 at the moment, so I guess at least when we practice together, I'll be shooting with the Walther.

I bought both the HK VP9 and Walther PPQ M1 before the SSE ended yesterday.
I really like these handguns, and am eagerly looking forward to shoot with them at the range. I know these handguns are similar, but they are exactly what I have been looking for.

Both on one day? Yesterday? When do you pick up?

250 trouble free rounds through my new to me VP9 on Tues.
My groups didn't seem to open at all from 10-15 yd's.
That to me was impressive. Mag release came natural.
Trigger finger was a bit sore after 5 box's due to its trigger guard design, but no big deal. I think it was the 2 grooves under the trigger on the underside of the trigger guard. Anyone else?
Only complaint is its 10 round mag.
Oh, the std stock sights are amazing!
I charged them with a surefire a few times and it really helped my aging eyes. But work well either way.
Are these available for classic Sigs and Glocks? I like these better than night sights!

My VP9 is the LE version, so it came with Meprolight night-sigths from the factory. The Walther PPQ comes with cheaper non night-sights, so I plan to replace them with Trijicon "Bright and Tough," or similar.

I plan to get to the range today or tomorrow to start breaking them in.

My dad has both of those guns and said I can have one of them. Never shot either one, he lives out of state so I can't fire them to see how they shoot. Can anyone give me some input so I can make a decision?

Looking forward to an update after shooting one.

I went with a PPQ and regret not getting the VP9 now. The PPQ has more muzzle flip than I want in a gun and all my other 9mm guns feel much better to shoot. CZs, Glock 17, and Canik Tp9SA.

Could you give your opinion on the muzzle flip differences between the two?

I have and enjoy both. Mag release works better on the VP9 for me.

I went to the range today and put 200 rounds through the two of the handguns combined. I was a bit rusty since I had not shot in 12 years, but the muscle memory started to come back fairly quickly.

The PPQ had a bit more muzzle flip compared to the VP9, but it did not impair its accuracy. I shot better with the PPQ today. It just felt easier, for me, to shoot good with. The VP9 also felt great, but for some reason I was not as accurate with it. It might be the sights, the gun itself, or just me. I feel like I will have to shoot a bit more with the VP9 to be as accurate, but in the end I think I will perform equally well with either gun, I just need to spend a little more time with my VP9, that is all...

The triggers on both guns felt good, Walthers reset felt a tad more crisp, but they are very close, not too light, and certainly not too heavy. I think the triggers will smooth out even a bit more after putting more rounds through them.

To me, the Walther won today, I really like this handgun. The VP9 is however great as well, and with more time with it, I will perform much better. It is easy to get spoiled with two great guns like this.

The supplied images shows the following:
1. The white/green target is shot with the PPQ. 50 rounds @ 7meters.
2. The white orange target is shot with the VP9. 50 rounds @ 7 meters.
3. The white green target is shot with the Walther. 80 rounds @ 7 and 10 meters mixed.
