I wasn't that impressed with SP-01 until I shot a 92FS. It took all 20 rounds on 92FS to realize that SP-01 is indeed a wonderful gun. It's definetly better than any of my poly guns.

BTW, I have a decocker version and after the first time, removing the sear cage assembly is now relatively easy.

The SP-01 is a great all around weapon. I use mine for HD. I also have a 75B SA and out of the box I prefer the SA.

Both would be great shooters with some CGW love.

Agreed. There is even more to be gained by reading the hole thread. Much discussion takes place after the initial guide that gave me clarity on a few other parts of a CZ, like the disconnector.

cusco19, you may be over thinking things a bit. This is understandable, the sear cage can appear daunting. This is an illusion.

Over my cgw tuned cz75b, sp01, and 97b I prefer the sp01 out of all three. Even out of the box the sp01 has a nice trigger compared to most of my handguns. Although, its a toss up between my ruger gp100 out of the box in terms of da/sa.

I've commented the same, as far as my SP-01 trigger out of the box. Other than the DA being a hardier pull, I'm surprised how decent my trigger is stock. Most others don't report that....

Stock trigger is digusting. Upgraded parts immediately as I couldn't stand it.

The hammer spring doesn't change the SA trigger pull that much. I personally found that the sear, hammer, and Firing Pin Block spring makes a more significant difference in SA. The hammer spring really changes the DA but not much else other than that.
