^^^I found this to be true. What feels good at the FFL's counter doesn't necessarily translate into what shoots the best. Rent or try before you buy or buy knowing that you might be trading it later.

I find the accuracy of the Glocks is good and comparable to all the handgun types I've used. But what impresses me about Glocks is the reliability and simplicity.

I have a G23 with over 10K rounds through it and a G27 with about 5K shots fired. I have not had a single malfunction on either one so far (knock on wood). I found out that Glock recommends replacing the recoil spring every 3K rounds but I was just under 10K when I changed it out on the G23.

The M&P is almost as good but have had a couple of no fires in about 5K rounds. And it is not quite as simple. More parts equals shorter time to failure on most any system.

I shoot my XD fairly well, but not my M&P.

Anyone looking for a well cared for seldom shot M&P 9?
How much for the M&P 9?

Not sure I'm 100% sold on getting rid of it... I have sold 2 guns in my life and regret both.

There's a funny phenomenon with guns. When someone hands you a gun that you don't own, it looks cool and fits like a glove .. And when you shoot it, "bullseye"!

Then you buy one. And somehow, if by magic, it does not yield the same coolness, fit or accuracy.

The angle of the Glock grip actually helps with recoil even held properly. I love how everyone hates on the grip cause that's exactly how I feel about S&W grips and XD's... to each their own I suppose.
OP get a glock take some shooting courses and you'll never want another pistol again

However, I shoot mine really well (G27 and G30S) and they ALWAYS go bang. For these reasons, two Glocks fill my 3 CCW roster spots even though I have a stable of other guns that I actually love to shoot.

That is why Sigs and HK's are no longer in my safe.

Im not a glock hater at all, I Build so many of them that i'm bound to own one sooner or later. I just shoot terrible with them. I've been spoiled by a very nice 1911 trigger job.
