The P-01's hammer spring is compressed more than the full size CZ's. It's in a smaller space. The after market hammer springs are not shorter for the compacts. They are all the same length. So this may be a reason why the trigger pulls may feel heavier in the P-01 or any other compact CZ even with the same weight hammer spring in a full size CZ.

I love all three of them, regardless.

Thank you for explaining it more eloquently.

      Another good point.

I wonder if only having one hammer hook affects this as well.

Compared to a 1.5 lb SAO trigger, the difference feels like miles apart.

I'd put my money on the single hook effecting it more. Mainspring weight really doesn't seem to effect the SA. Seems to me more like the other action springs, along with the friction and angle of the hammer hooks/sear.

I noticed on my P01, even after changing it to 11.5# or 13# mainspring, during DA (even devoted position) u can feel the spring bend and twist during take up.

You can polish the Main Spring Strut on all four edges to lessen the feel of the hammer spring compressing.
