Unfortunately, S&W is not even producing "A" revolvers, yet.

This is the main reason I picked up my 629 PC when I had the chance.

Good luck OP, you'll love the gun.

      SSE is NOT SAE.

The SAE is not going away. However, dimensional requirements must be met in order to be SAE eligible.

IMO, the way we do it and our future plans, no. We can do them next year.

But I am waiting for Jason Davis to give us the OK.

When I finally find another revolver, I'm sending it to you Baboosh. I should have done more research before I hit the buy button.

Hopefully I'll still be able to SSE it next year. Thanks for your help and kind offer earlier. Wish the timing was right.

How about you send it out of state to a willing FFL who will engrave an "A" to the frame?

It's not tampering with serial number or anything of the kind that would get you in trouble federally. Not sure what CA could do about it since it doesn't violate any laws.

Buy a metal stamp with the letter "A" on it?

Yes we are way past that Doc, already been discussed - by me - way up top of this page. Now Baboosh is saying he does SSE on them, the question is still - will it be an option next year. SAE is never an option on a sub 3" barrel.

Yes they are. I've seen a 686+ and a 66 both with the A stamped on them.

Wrong pic posted! Haha. In any case, I own a 627 and 629 PC. Both are awesome!

Shipped directly to my FFL in Orange County. Inside the gun box with the Glock was a 'gift letter' with a copy of her Oklahoma Drivers License. She's married and her last name is different than mine.

                          The letter said:

" I want my father, Oceanbob to have this Glock 21, serial number xxxxx as a gift"

My FFL starts the DROS and on the form he clicks inter family gift X exempt from the roster.

so i can buy a firearm as a gift to my parents, but i cant get a gift for my brother from out here if im reading this correctly. damn that sucks
