Why SSE?

There is so much more available with SSE. Yes, there are similarities with an SSE version and CA version. However, the subtle changes in a model make it special and more functional to the end user.
Having said that, I don't have any SSE guns. Can't afford the ones I "think" I want.*********************
WTS:
1. PW 800+ Hydro Multispeed (just the hydraulic unit that also works with Spolar press)
2. PW 800B converted to 800C (12 gauge) with lots of accessories and upgrades
3. Hornady 366 (12 gauge)

Next time you want to buy a gun, just tell me handgun or rifle, I'll tell you how much money to send me, and I'll mail you the gun.
Sound good to you? No? Why not? What do you care? Any gun I give you will be functionally similar to what you want, right?

Not only that, when you sit down to eat at The Roster, the waiters stick a red flag on your forehead that says "I'm eating!". Then, when your girl gets up from the table to go to the bathroom, the waiters disconnect you by pulling your utensils so you can't eat until she comes back

Most new guns will have the stupid loaded chamber indicator that serves no purpose.Last edited by vipertom1970; 11-15-2014, 8:19 PM.Comment

To a point I agree, such is with a Glock, but the same can't be said for a new Glock 17L which the originals are nearly un-obtanium in "new" condition. So I got one. And one could say an XD is similar to a CZ P07, is similar to an M&P, is similar to a SIG 227, and so on - but not after I've checked out each and there are features of each that surpass the old models still renewing on the roster for the past decade.
If I already have something similar to what is on the roster, sure, not jumping at it - but if I didn't - may as well get it now for what I REALLY want, and not something "like" what I want.
There is soooo much that is not on the Roster that is available by SSE that will NEVER be on the roster, not merely because of microstamping, but because of lacking either a mag-disconnect or loaded chamber indicator, or both. And those things will have distinct features, better triggers, and such over what is on the roster.
2011 to now have been some very good years for firearm innovation, but unfortunately most all of those guns could never be added, so in some cases we in CA are stuck with designs more than 20 years old (such as most of the Glocks and the USP that are on the roster. The USP came out in 1993).Last edited by The Gleam; 11-15-2014, 9:21 PM.-----------------------------------------------

HAH! I was just looking at one today, comparing it to the Kimber Solo and liking the 938 better (more 1911-like in the hand and the controls feel more like a full-size gun), and this gun instantly came to mind when looking at this thread.-----------------------------------------------

Good one! You order the food today, but you come back to the restaurant 10 days later to eat it. And you can only come once every 30 days.sigpic

I actually paid in full for the food from the menu today but don't get to see the order until December 4 and not allow to eat until December 15.Last edited by vipertom1970; 11-15-2014, 8:29 PM.Comment

Gun fans and collectors are not only looking for the function of a gun.... The function of a gun is just shoot, or kill, etc....
Collectors want all guns out there... different color, big and small, etc... Roster list has enough guns for using to kill someone, but far less options for collectors and fans who are not intended to kill, but just for fan.
So the roster list is just ridiculous if they say it helps to prevent gun shot crime cases.Comment
