I vote for the 1911 (Springfield Loaded), unless you have big hands then go with the USP 45. It is stupid reliable and accurate.

I love my Baer but no way Id make it a HD gun unless I had no other choice. 1911s are just too high maintenance and picky.

Id do the Sig 220 or CZ 97 though good luck finding one. Maybe HK but honestly I have never shot one so I cant say good or bad about them.

My 220s have all been great. That much I can say and they already come with good triggers, night sights and rails so you shouldn't have to spend much to upgrade them later.

Just go to your LGS and see what you like. There will be more .45 acp guns than you would want to look at.

I was going to say: Springfield XD .45 Ugly as sin but a solid, affordable option for HD.

Lol. I dont understand especially glockboys that says the xd line is ugly as sh-- but drools over say a g34 (2 pieces of 2x4 lumber attached together) lol.
