My CZs (four p01) tuned by CGW outshoot everything I or my friends own (sig x5, wilson 1911, ed brown 1911, sig p210, etc). The only comprable handgun is an accushadow. They all dont have the.most amazing interior finish but who cares.

For a gun that looks beautiful, I don't care how it shoots. I don't own it to shoot it. I look at it. The shooting experience will never rival the experience of scrutinizing its aesthetics. The beauty has nothing to do with the function of the firearm.

Congrats, it sure is a looker. Wait till you shoot it, it'll make you double check if your shooting .22lr. Like that CTS roll mark.

To open, this is going to probably sit bad with a few CZ owners no matter how I couch the question.

I read a lot here and post rarely. I read a lot of CZ threads with the OP questioning tooling marks, staking slips, pits in castings, scratches etc, etc, ad nauseam. These are all confined to the internal works on the most part.

My question, if you're not up to purchasing (for whatever reason) a premium 1911 model handgun such as Kimber (questionable), Les Bear, Wilson, STI, Swenson, Colt, or any of the myriad shops, etc., why do you expect your CZ to be finished inside and out with the finest fitting and machining that a premium 1911 would be expected to receive and demands the premium price?

The old, you get what you pay for comes to mind and I also wonder why the firearm wasn't field stripped at the dealer (ask the dealer to strip it if they won't let you or you're not confident) and inspected prior to DROS.

There is no offense intended and I have the same thoughts of someone that purchases an imported, inexpensive, double gun then wants the fit and finish of a Perazzi.

I'm not questioning someone that bought, fired, and upon cleaning noticed pieces damaged, bent, metal chinked out, etc.

Some guns are not as easy to field strip at a dealer such as a 1911, they don't want someone putting an idiot mark on the gun they are trying to sell. My dad's $550 springfield 1911 has none of those tooling marks that were on the slides of some of those CZ's.

I think that even though glocks have less metal the parts they do have are better machined. Not even my cheapest guns have marks like those that were posted!

That said, I'm sure they run fine, it's a good design so enjoy your pistols. They look like real comfortabel shooters for the money, but I would still be disappointed if mine looked like the ones that some people posted.
