Last time I talked to Blake they only had Black/tan in stock. Recently people have updated the thread saying Blake is sold out. If Blake confirms he has nothing to sell I suggest you PM Audiophil2 or Baboosh and see if they have any left.

While watching some youtube video reviews of the strike one..I came across a guy who's reporting a problem with his.

He inserts a full magazine...does not touch or depress the mag release...pinches the mag's bottom and is unable to remove the magazine.

However, once he racks the slide to chamber a round he's able to pinch the mag's bottom and remove with magazibe without depressing the mag release.

He has three very short videos demonstrating this.

I bought two counting on the fact that I'd use this gun in production class competition.

At first I was very disappointed because I used American Eagle 124 grain ammo and it jammed every other round. The slide was very stiff. I switched to 115 grain S&B and have not had one problem since.

This gun is very accurate just like it was advertised, the recoil feels much less that a Glock Gen 4. I do wear a size Lg glove so my hands are large. I ride high on the beavertail so this may be why the recoil I feel is less than others.

The sights are not the best but I do hammer out the Orange on the target so they must not be that bad but I'd rather switch to a FO sight which at the current time is not an option.

Head the Head I'm equally as good with my Gen 4 Glock 34 so since the barrel Is longer on the Glock that makes the Strike One the better gun for me.

The Glock feels like a 2x4 in my hand and the strike is much thinner in my hand but both group the same for me.

I do shoot better with the Strike One them my Gen 4 Glock 17.
I keep everything stock so it's not hands down the the Strike One is better it's just better than the 17 for Me.

Is it worth the extra Money? I Don't think so. Is it a replacement for my Glocks? Not until you can customize them like you can the glocks. When will that be? Maybe in 5-10 years.

I will compete with my Glock's, cheaper mags, can use any ammo, can change the sites. Easy to change broken parts. These are the things I can't do with the Strike One.

The only thing I can do is impress people at the range with tight groups and many do ask what type of pistol I'm using. Everyone that has asked, I let shoot and all are impressed with the smooth trigger but the reset is longer than the Glock 17.

With that said I will sell my extra Strike One BNIB

Curious how much you'd put this on the market in CA for? With SSE over and the relative "rarity"...

I agree though, the lack of a significant aftermarket for parts will keep this one as a curiosity for most in the near term. I'm not even sure you can get a holster for these just yet without a bit of digging.

Yup, you nailed it on the head. Not just aftermarket parts but the rear sight is fixed. No rear sight options, mags or holster.

I'll admit, I was interested in one as well as you can see my post back in the beginning of this thread, but now, not so much.

I really don't want to have a bunch of handguns with only the two mags that came with the firearm. Shoot, I still haven't picked up any mags for my VP9 yet.

I was really bummed with Canik dropped the ball with their claims that the TP9SA would work with 92FS mags. While they "kinda" work, it kept me from buying one at the end of last year.

                          Mag option

Strike one will work with CZ SP01 mag.

I saw one listing in the marketplace for $1400. Ouch.

I didn't want to sound like I was bashing the Strike for a lack of available accessories because that is simple not true, you can find many different holsters and magazines at international firearm corporation on the web. What I couldn't find at that site or any others are the replacement sights. I was very disappointed that the sights the Strike came with are not at least night sites. I really wanted to put FO sites on the gun and that was about it.

If they made a trigger kit for this gun I'd opt for a shorter reset and thats about it. The trigger is very smooth and very different in feel and travel from the Glock's I have and CZ.
