There's a special place in hell for people who buy firearms and ammo just to flip them and and even more special place in hell for people who do it with Glocks.

Why compare a baby glock to a full size metap pistol? Apples to kumquats.

This is like comparing apples and oranges. If you are going to compare 2 guns in .40, at least make them the same size. I love my Glock 23 but there is no way in heck I would want to carry or shoot a Glock 27.

Maybe you should consider your alter your choices to a Sig P229 vs. a Glock 23 if a compact .40 is what you are after.

I was thinking the same thing. I carry a G27 at times, and the P226 is too big for the times I need to carry a subcompact. They are completely different guns. I own Sig and Glock, and like both brands BTW...

Quite different guns, each with a distinct purpose of use. You did not say what role you are seeking to fill with your December purchase other than being somewhat of an investment. At $400-700 you're not going to get much of an investment gun per se other then the fact that everything off roster that can be PPT'd after Jan 1 will be more valuable..."the rising tide lifts all boats". I'd recommend you figure out the purpose of use and go with the gun that meets the need.

A Glock as a investment? Now you guy's really went off the deep end.

Seriously. A $500 plastic gun they make hundreds of thousands of as an investment? Ridiculous.

I carried the P226 as well as the P228 while I was in the Navy and still carry a P228 on a daily basis after I retired. Not the M11-A1 version. Mine was actually made in Germany but I hear the M11A1 is just as good.

                          Here is mine.

I'm skipping December SSE, going to save up for a MK-25CA. It's off the roster on 9-05-2015, unless someone can convince me to buy an SSE version of a P226 that matches up to the MK-25 platform.

For $700 you can get the Heckler and Koch USP full size or compact in 9mm or .40SW using the $200 rebate. The USP is on CA roster.

I haven't had a mk-25 come thru yet but I carried the issued one. I will say if the MK25 is as good as the actual issued ones hold out for the Mk25. 226 is close but not the Mk-25.

Seeing as how glocks don't really retain their resale value, i wouldn't buy one as an investment:
