Which version P226 is the best to SSE for personal gratitude and future investment (Oh god, I said it, please don't hate me <3).
My limit is $400 (used, police trade in) to $700 (one with a tactical rail). I found one at Buds but no rail, and CPO'ed for $545.
Any suggestions, let me know post here, or PM me a link, it'll help greatly, I won't bug you guys after December, promise!
If anything, you guys helped me enough, much love! Sorry for bugging.

You did say, "dislike polymers, prefer metal", yet you seem disappointed that more people are not recommending a Glock? I don't hate Glocks, I just don't prefer them due to the grip angle. It's not comfortable for me.

Turners usually seems to have a few P226s on display. Go check them out and decide what YOU like.

with your price range I would purchase a used one in the marketplace. If you SSE a CPO, thats gonna bring the price up considerably.

personally I would go with an on roster CZ 75 if I couldn't find a non-LCI sig P226. those are in your price range new.

Why a G27? That light weight is the least favored (dislike even) 40 caliber I have ever shot.

                      Consider a G22/G35?

The SIG P320 is a compromise between plastic and well a SIG. Not available in 40 caliber yet, but someday it can be converted.

                        Either one but get a 9mm. Research 9mm +P rounds vs. .40
