Need input on used Sig

I have a previously owned W. German 226 (my avatar.) light to moderate exterior wear. Internals and rails were clean. I paid $575 w/ 1 mag... if the one you are looking at is LNIB, do not hesitate; but as above posters stated. examine it closely, if rail finish is not worn thru, it's worth 600 unless the exterior is all jacked up; finished scratched thru, dinged, or rusted etc. Good luck, and please post PICS if you score a true LNIB

I paid that for my 1988. It's still my favorite.
Might as well get a good used Sig.
If you get a LNIB, there is still no warranty anyway. Even if never fired.

Dull silver and shiny silver is your red flag when it comes to rail wear.

Sig P226 is a classic. One of those guns that will always keep it's value. Any Sig P226 like brand new is worth $600.

You said the owner offered it to you because you like SIGs. If you really do like SIGs this is a no brainer. If you didn't like SIGs it would still be a no brainer to buy it for $600. Its future trade bait value is probably $800+.

I think I paid 550.00 in 1992 for my 226 and got it out of jail two weeks before the riots in LA. Knowing that Seals and FBI used this as service weapons I knew I had to baby it. Probably about 5000 rounds through it and never a glitch. It will be one of your pride and joys and you won't be disappointed in it. Good luck

given the condition described, the price is very reasonable for a P226 that could fetch more.
