Is there such a thing as an MC Operator in all black instead of the two-tone?

There is also the lightweight operator which I believe has an aluminum frame.

I just got my MC Op about 2 weeks ago, and so far I'm really enjoying it. I anticipated wanting to replace the wrap-around rubber grip, but I actually find myself liking it well enough to not bother (at least for now).

Couldn't find one at any LGS so I bought one listed on gunbroker and didn't beat 1200 by much. I recommend snagging it before it's gone (unless you can't convince your wife that you need it ). You won't be sorry.

is going to be hard to sneak this by the girlfriend.. she wants to go to vegas for new years.. and everything I looked, is somewhere in the ball park of $1k an person and that's not including the club fees..

for $1200 is hard to beat.. my p226 after all the upgrades.. it was around there. .

I get paid on friday, if there are more than enough to cover for it.. I'm going back and picking it up..

I believe Springfield actually does offer an all-black MC Operator but it's pretty uncommon.

SoulStealer is correct, the all black version comes with a magwell and is known as the Long Beach Operator, hard to find in So Cal (although there is one on GB for $1800, yikes!)...MC probably next on my list but here is my Lightweight Champion Operator

This is the only gun that I have ever sold and I have plans to buy again. I hit a rough financial place and had to sell mine before I got to even got to shoot it.

For the price it is a very nice gun. Panning to get one in January.

I don't know about in CA gun stores, but they pop up on Gunbroker fairly often in the $950-$1000 range. The guy who commented earlier about $1200 out the door in CA seems very reasonable though. If you bought online you'd have to pay shipping, CA tax and transfer fee that would probably bring the price up significantly.

I bought my mc operator from out of state so i know all about that. The ones here in California dont stay on the shelfs very long. average price ive seen is $1250.

They are very nice pistols for the money. I'm just not really interested in a .45 ACP pistol or I'd already have one.

Not sure how long I'll have to wait for the 9mm one, heard 12-15 months is the normal turn around for custom shop guns.
