I've heard people just removing the disconnecter.

True, but with a SAO trigger adjustable for take-up and overtravel, you can get a pretty nice reset. Plus the flat SA trigger feels much better.

If you have a decent amount of mechanical aptitude, it isn't too difficult. I can do the polishing and install in about 1 hour and 1/2. The parts costed me about $250 shipped. I purchased everything from CGW short of the trigger, which I got from CZC due to CGW being out of stock on the adjustable pre and post travel SAO trigger.

It certainly can be done cheaper, but throwing in the aftermarket sear and hammer really make the break so much better. Also removing the FPB and the FPB lifter gives it a 2mm break and reset.

2mm? Wow. I shortened the factory hooks, angled the sear, and slicked up everything and have about 4mm. I wish I could test my pull weight, I'd really like to know how I did.

There is a ghetto way of doing it. You can tie a string to it and tie it to a bottle then have it hanging off a table then fill the bottle with water till it breaks and then weigh the bottle and water to get the breaking point.

Or you could quit being a cheap *** and get one of these. It is an invaluable tool.

Haha, I just did the exact opposite to my SP01 yesterday - DA/SA to SAO. Cz75 SA's are nice because of the beavertail.

Well I pulled off my shadow slides and slapped on the original .40 d lides on my Single Actions. The SA has a really short reset with a sub 2lb pull.
