The trigger is around 3 lbs with a short reset that will make you unintentionally double tap if you are not careful with it.
+1 ^ what Kevin said, you don't know till you shoot it. I have both the Sphinx & PPQ, the only knock on the Sphinx for me is it's a tad heavier than the PPQ for edc/ccw, but otherwise ZERO complaints. You get what you paid for.

They are $698 for the p-09 and $675 for the P-07 with the following aftermarket upgrades already installed.

      * 9100 CGW Hammer Kit delivers a crisp SA, short reset, and reduces SA pre-travel
      * 92030 Short Reset Kit that cuts the SA reset 50% and reduces up to 80% of SA pre-travel
      * 97910 CGW Ultra-Lite Kit replaces the factory springs and includes our superb 61050 "Perfection" firing pin
      * 97058 CGW oversized DA roller for optimal timing
      * Trigger drilled and tapped for single-action over-travel

For a fraction of the cost of the SDP, I would argue a tuned P-07 or a P-09 from Cajun Gunworks would be significantly better than the SDP. Add another $104 and have night sights installed as well. You still have $300 extra for whatever else you may want.
Oliver I've shot a CGW tuned P-01 and trust me, the SDP is still better. Calgunner King Kong has that P-01 and when you shoot it back to back you can tell the difference. It's like you can spend the money to tune a Glock but it will not be a HK. I've said this in another thread shooting the SDP is the equivalent of shooting a semi-custom 1911 as opposed to a Springfield Loaded.

I am not trying to over hype this gun, I own it, shot 750 rds through it and it's just smooth as butter.

Yes, once you shoot with with your other guns you'll see why I think it's the best gun for the money around that $1,000 mark. The HK P30 doesn't even come close.

I got Sphinx (via Facebook Private Message) to send a T&E gun to Milt Sparks, I'm in line for a VM2 to be delivered mid Sept for my Sphinx and it will probably end up on my ccw. Can't wait.

Yes make sure you sign up for the September shoot! It's been a year since you last showed up. We will have four Sphinx SDPs at the next Ontarget shoot. I'll ask King Kong to bring his P-01 so you can compare.

I tucked the SDP in my pants but the beavertail just pokes me a bit much for a CCW gun. I do plan on getting the defiance halo sights and a SAO conversion once they are available. Sphinx has told me over email that both are in the works. I'm glad you like your's Rudy!

I'll bring my P-07's. I got the Gen 1 and the Gen 2 with the SRT to compare. I am skeptical to it being $500 better, but I am always open to be proven wrong and jumping on this Sphinx bandwagon.

Been watching this detail comparison side by side.

                  Seems like a tough call.

SAO conversion? If this is legit I would get the sphinx sdp for sure.
Do I look like I'm ready for homework?

                        No doubt it's the VP9. No-brainer!

Actually, I say that because I passed on the SDP and bought a VP9. And now I have filled all of my SSE slots for the year and as much as I wanted a SDP, I passed on it and now it's too late for me.

So, I'll go against the grain and say VP9 and money left over for ammo!!
