    VP9 or SDP?

I've got 1 slot left for SSE. I know these are 2 very different firearms but I'm having a hard time deciding which one to choose to fill my last slot.

Realistically, I don't think I'm going to be able to fire and handle both to make a better informed decision so I think I'll just tally up the votes here and let you fine folks decide.

Can we assume you mean the Sphinx SDP? If so, get the Sphinx. After having shot multiple HK's and the Sphinx, the Sphinx is really in a league of its own.

I like where this is going already!

I don't own any HK's but I do own a couple CZ's. I love the CZ's but thought the HK might be better since I don't have one and the SDP is similar to the CZ. But after doing some reading, it seems like the SDP is what my CZ's aspire to be.

Hmmm....this is a tough one. I'd go with the sdp.

I think these two are so different. DO you prefer a striker fire or da/sa?

I did this thread a few weeks ago. I had more votes for the SDP. I'd go with the SDP.

They say the VP9 has one if not the best stock polymer 2 stage triggers out there. Im liking both but will vote SDP too bad it doesnt come in a 45.

How do they mate the polymer part of the lower to the alloy part of the lower in the SDP? Is that going to be as durable as a frame made of the same material? I'm not familiar with any other firearms that utilize this kind of technology so I have no reference.

I was thinking to pickup both, but so far I really like my VP9. I can't see another similar gun blowing it away. That said the SDP really isn't all that similar. I haven't shot an SDP and doubt I will be able to before I buy. I think the VP9 will have more parts and magazine availability, but the SDP does indeed look like quite a nice firearm, although way less common.

Actually I'm considering getting PPQ, VP9 and SDP before the end of the year then sell the 2 I like least, but I think if I did this I would end up keeping all 3 lol. I'm also a bit short on DROS slots to do such a thing.

From the specs the SDP Compact has kind of a short barrel at only 3.75"

Anyone know when STANDARD ALPHA 9MM DA/SA is coming out, or maybe where to get a production?

What else do you have? If you have a PPQ or Sig P320, get the Sphinx. If you have a few CZs that have been 'breathed on' but no polymer striker-fired pistols, get the VP9.

All things being equal, I would guess the Sphinx is the better pistol, but it also costs more, no?

                            Very personal decision.

I have a CZ 75B SA and am picking up a P-01 in a week. They are both bone stock. I currently have no polymer striker fired pistols.

I think I would like both but have to choose 1. Tough decision.
