Ant physicist reason why you picked the XDm?

I have a 9mm 5" XD and love it. I can shoot that gun better than any other gun I have ever shot. I have a few friends who have various XDm's and love them so I decided to take the plunge before it was too late. Don't get me wrong I love 1911s, I have a Springfield GI spec and have shot a Colt commander 9mm more than a few times, but I like the XD/XDm a little more.

I actually went to a new LGS that opened a couple months ago to check it out. They had a couple of S&W Shields and a XDs9 (4 inch version). They both felt great and rekindled my desire to replace the XDm 3.8 I used to own. After some thought, I figured I could still use my Springer 1911 for IDPA/USPSA. The LGS I checked out had both the Shield and XDs priced pretty good for CA SSE ($480 for the shield and $575 for the XDs 4.0). I've been wanting to replace the old XDm 3.8, the XDs is cheaper than what I was originally intending to buy, and with the Springer Promotion, I think I'll get the XDs9 4.0. Thanks for all the input guys. Funny how things turn out.

I'm not a huge 9mm 1911 fan, and not a big XD fella either. I'd say some nice flavor of CZ if you really want a 9mm.

Me neither. CZ maybe in 40S&W

Otherwise a Colt XSE in .45.

Haha. While I have never owned a CZ I have shot them and they are very nice guns. I should add a CZ to my collection but I literally just DROSed a XDs 9mm 4.0 about 5 minutes ago.

Lol I have done the opposite. I have a xds9 3.3 AND just DROS'd a CZ SP-01 about 20 minutes ago.

XDm 40 and get a 9mm drop in barrel, Works perfect

I hear the XD's are super nice, I don't own one yet but it's on my short list.
