Very nice..I think I'm leaning towards the colt...I would get a semi custom but I don't want to sell any of my other handguns...when I'm ready ill sell my glocks and ARs and get a Wilson Pro

Is the Dan Wesson Heritage on the roster?

I have a hard time buying a 1911 with no front checkering. With that said, I would get SIG 1911. My choice would be the SIG 1911 Nightmare. Either the 5" or the 4.2" carry model. Would be just under $1200 with tax and SSE.

No. Only the Commander Classic Bobtail and the PM7 stainless.

If you are stuck in that budget, and stuck on colt - I'd go for the reissue series 70.

If used is an option, I'd opt for a non railed TRP

Colt all the way, XSE, or the Rail gun, New 70s series. 2AZONE has both rail gun's black and stainless. Although the Sig Is really nice i own one, nothing holds its value like the Colt

                  One more for the XSE.

I think I will be getting a colt Xse after I pick up the vp9 currently in the 1 n 30 jail.

If you want a Colt with that budget, I will strongly recommend an off-roster Series 70 reproduction or a used true Series 70.

The XSE is nice (I had one before) and loaded with features but the Series 70 is truer to original form.

But please note that this is just how I approached it based on my actual experiences owning them.

                      Good luck!

Besides a Colt, a used TRP is one of the finer guns in your price range.

Again, based on my actual experience here.

Own an XSE & Combat Elite - love them both

                            But....

For $100 more (check gunbroker) you could get a S&W Performance Center 1911

You are not getting the S&W performance center for $1300 with tax and SSE. More like $1500. Great gun though.

This would be my plan too.
