    Which 1911 would you get?

I have $1200 to spend on a new 1911..I am thinking of the Colt XSE full size SS...I already have a Spingfield Loaded Park and RIA 2011. Would you get the Colt XSE or something else?

I would consider that a good choice. I have two XSE GM (blue and stainless), and they are my go-to range pistols these days. I really enjoy them...excellent production pistols, IMHO.

You could pick up a slightly used TRP for that price. If you want to customize the gun then I'd stick with the Colt though.

Dan Wesson Heritage RZ-45. Nice solid 1911 for the price point with a good platform to build upon.

You already have a couple of steel 5" (I am assuming your Loaded and Rock is full size).

Consider a light weight aluminum/alloy like the STI Duty One LT in commander/compact. Even in a different caliber like 9mm .

My buddy picked up a really nice Springfield in OD green for around $950. I was quite jealous. Series 70 style 1911 and it was definitely a nice fit. It's the all OD green one, not the 2-tone. Can't remember exactly the model...

                  Good luck man!

I'd sell the Loaded and RIA, add the proceeds to your existing $1,200, and purchase a semi-custom 1911.

I hear (no experience) that sig is a fantastic 1911, not nice enough for a mantel piece like the night hawks, but superb for the range and training.

There are some who will disagree with me, but I like the kimbers. Never had a problem with mine. Springfield and colt are nice too.
                        Sorry, not sorry.

Range officer or RIA in 9mm and use extra budget for extra mags and a ton of ammo! That's my vote!
