Hmm. Maybe I should start running my 10 round mags and HP ammo to see if I have this problem as well.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. For everybody who is having this issue and being told by Glock tech support that they have never heard of this issue; Glock is lying.
For ck475, here is the name and number of the supervisor who handled my issue, however clumsily.
Hopefully this helps.
His name is Shaun Ford and can be reached at 770 432-1202 x6244Comment

I just got off the phone with Shaun Ford and he was able to replicate the problem twice. He is going to put stronger springs in it and head down to the range in a couple hours. He feels it's the 10 rounders that are causing the problem. When normal cap mags are used it does fine. At least he did not want to send it back until he figures it out.Comment

Glad you posted this as I was just about to inquire as to what the status was.
So does anyone have a definitive list of what ammo works with 9mm3 followers? Right now I am using the 9mm6 with the failure to lock back the slide issue. No, I haven't sanded the followers down yet as that just seems stupid (even though that will solve the issue).Comment

It seems that every double stack 9mm that utilizes 10 round mags has issues.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. I assume you have a 9mm? I have heard followers help a lot. My posts are a little off tangent as I have a .357 Sig.
Edit: I read your reply again. Maybe your mag spring is weak. I know before I stretched out mine it was causing the slide release to not sit up all the way.Last edited by ck475; 12-05-2014, 2:36 PM.Comment

I'm glad the info I provided, worked for you.I just got off the phone with Shaun Ford and he was able to replicate the problem twice. So, I used my Dremel to sand the side of the 9mm6 followers down. This allowed the follower to rise higher in the 10 round magazine which allowed my slide to lock back after the last round.
Now I just need to hit the range with some JHP to verify no more FTF problems occur.Comment

So today I tried a glock 10/15 and a kci 10/15 with a box of jhp. Not one issue. Seems the issue is the neutered 10 rd mags. Unfortunately, I only had one box of jhp, so I could not retest the CA neutered mags.Comment
