Which to keep? All purpose handgun query

Trying to decide which of my much-loved handguns I should keep as my long-term all-purpose gun.

Criteria: Gun will be primarily a range plinker, possible HD gun. CCW is not a consideration at the moment.

    1. 1911 (.45 ACP)
    2. Glock (Fo-Tay)
    3. S&W (.357)

Plenty of ammo and accessories on hand for each. I like each of them a lot, for different reasons. Trying to decide which to hang onto and which to let go. Financial issues are prompting this question, so answers like "keep all and GET MOARRR!!!" aren't helpful, even though they're amusing.

    What are the specific models?

I'd say keep the 1911 if it's a nice one. If it's a Rock Island or something similar then keep the glock if it's full size. Revolver would be 3rd on my list due to capacity and reload time.

IMHO keep the 1911 or the .357. Sell the glock.

Whats the barrel length on 357 mag? I say keep 357 mag, than 45 and sell glock.

The reverse order of your list is what I would let go first. So keep the 1911

The way you presented it I would keep the 1911.

Now if the S&W 357 was a pre-lock 19 or 686, it would be a different decision. When I had to downsize from my divorce, two I wanted to keep was a Colt Gold Cup and a Browning High Power.

                I would keep the .357.

I am just the opposite. I would keep the most valuable one since it would be better quality.

                    Specific models:

                    1. 1911 is Colt XSE Government Model.
                    2. Glock Fotay is a G22, I have a LW 40-9 conversion barrel so I effectively also have a G17
                    3. Smith is a 4" Model 620. This is basically a half-lug version of a 686.

I think the 620 is the most versatile. .38's for plinking, .357's or .38+P for defense, and while .357 may not be the ideal round for bear defense, if I was camping, I'd rather have that than the other 2.

Keep the Colt because the others are not Colt.
