It was a bit more than I wanted to kick down, but he was a tough negotiator and I could only grind him down seventy five bucks. However it really is a 99% gun and with the original box, SAT, cleaning set and docs, I felt it was worth the $625 I paid for it.

After all it is only money, and with the way these older, pinned and recessed Smiths are increasing in price, I feel that I got a fair deal.

This is probably the #1 reason that I moved out of the PRC.

Since I moved here, I have had pretty good luck in finding those guns that I have wanted for a long while and just couldn't find. I already had a couple 29's but just could not seem to track down a Model 27 or a 19 back in Cali.

Both the 19 and this 27 were bought at the same LGS:

M27-2, looks like the 19 in that it maybe has a cylinder full shot through it, other tnan that it looks new.


So far, living in Nevada has been very hard on my bank account. To date, I have been here for six weeks and I have bought;

Two Russian SKS's,
A underfolder Yugo M70AB2,
The Model 27,
and the Model 19.

I can't tell you how much I love cash and carry, the whole ten day wait now just seems like a bad dream.

Edited to add; I totally forgot the S&W shield I picked up the same day that I got the model 19. I'm taking the CCW course in a week and I wanted a small gun to carry.
