What is the deal with it ??? Talk to a gun shop in CA today and was told you cant buy the gun at all in CA even with the single shot ex. and if cops find out you have one. you will go to jail. Can someone who knows first hand post on what steps they did to buy the xds in CA please

that gun shop employee is uninformed. I purchased my xds via sse last month, its a great gun, and the process of sse was as simple as can be. if you want one, just find an ffl who sse's them in your area. If your near orange ca I recommend ric at south coast outdoorsman.

First, find a FFL who can SSE them. If they can't order it, have an online distributer (who sells to CA) send it to your FFL.

Since your'e Lancaster, there's a FFL around the Santa Clarita area that's advertising in the Commercial forum with SSE pistols, and I believe a couple of them were the XDs and Shields. Take a look in there as it's probably the closest FFL who will SSE for you.
