380 for CCW?

Using jacket pockets at their criteria for defining a pocket pistol is dubious and misleading by G&A. True pocket pistols go into pants/shorts pocket so no cover garment is needed; otherwise whats the point of a pocket pistol? If you can wear a jacket you can conceal most medium and full size handguns in either IWB holsters or often even OTWB holsters.

So far no 9mm is as a small and convenient as some of the small .380's that are available for true pocket carry (in a pocket holster). I've carried and tried a lot of handguns after 30+ years of ccw'ing but a true pocket .380 is always on my permit these days along with larger calibres for when clothing permits.

The small gun you carry is better than the big gun you leave at home.,

I've carried my Walther PP .380 since 1968 when I bought it. It was my "dress gun" when I wasn't working plain clothes with a M66 or 1911 tucked in my belt. I've carried it inside my shirt and been places where no one could tell...of course, over the years my fat grew around it so it hides well.

I have two .380's, a Firestorm I bought about 14 years ago and recently purchased an LCP. I've had my CCW for over 3 years, and the Firestorm was my smallest pistol. It was not comfortable no matter where I tried to carry it and I rarely did. Since I bought the LCP in January, I've hardly left the house once without it. Slips in my front pocket and I don't even know its there. So the point is, I have a safe full of guns, from a .22 to a .357 and just about everything in between, and the only gun I'll have with me when I need it is my handy little .380,
