I am going to buy two more mags to see if it makes a difference and work my other mags to get them to be less stiff.I had the exact same problem, turned out to be a magazine issue. 1 of the 2 that came with the gun wasn't seating 100% absent a hulk-esque slap. I switched it to a training mag and bought another. I noticed the follower rocked a little bit more in that mag than in the others.
You may want to see if is just the mag first, if you haven't already determined it is mag-independent.
Hope this helps."I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it."

On most Ruger pistols it is a slide stop. The manual says to insert loaded mag and then pull slide rearward then let go the slide stop will release with a loaded mag.
Sorry to hear your having problems with your SR9c OP. I have the SR9 with almost 10k rounds with almost zero problems. I also had (regret selling) a SR9c which had no problems when I sold it (bought EMP). Buy some snap caps and load a mag and then pull back the slide then still holding it bring it forward slowly and see if you can feel any binding. My thought is maybe the extractor is to tight and holding the case from coming all the way up.Comment

I have a friend with and SR9 that hates Winchester White box ammo, he stick to Blazer almost exclusively to avoid issue, in his case he seems to get light strikes on the Winchester, but not anything else.Comment
