Glock vs. moose

Seen it and dont enjoy it. The guys an idiot for many reasons. He should have waited for the young moose to go away or he should have gone another way. And dont let the animal suffer. He should have shot him dead, not to suffer.sigpicComment

Exactly ^^
He handled it pretty badly.
Still, it's interesting that a Glock in what could be no larger than a 10mm put down a moose with a couple of shots.Originally posted by RookieShooterOne of the theory is that the hormones they put in the milk. That is why there are more obesity and homosexual today then back in the 60's.Comment

Pretty sad. Dude should have at least put it out of its misery before he took off.**** your feelings!Comment

I can agree somewhat, the snow banks are tall on either side of the trail and the powder looks deep, don't know if reverse was an option? It also appears his first shot was intended to scare it off? I completely agree a kill shot was in order though.Comment

What an arse hat. He should have waited instead of getting impatient.*********************

just curious, to all the haters that are trashing this guy.
How exactly would you have done it?
Seems a five foot tall moose and him had a standoff, the moose bluffed once, then again charged and kicked him (which has killed more than a few people), and he even didn't shoot it until it came back again.
Seems fair enough.
Not sure why he didn't stop to finish the moose, but I expect from the way it dropped it wasn't long for this world.
I imagine the guy was pretty sketched out after just having a moose in his grill a few seconds before, and that is why he may have scrammed.
Who knows, he may have come back soon after.sigpic

There was absolutely no reason for lethal force there. That petty douche has no courage and no respect for life. I support everyone's 2A rights to the fullest but I'm virtually certain that if he wasn't armed at that moment he would've backed far away until the moose moved on. He might've been moderately delayed in his snowmobile outing but the moose would've kept his innocent life.Comment

He handled that really ****ty. He came up on the moose to fast. He should have waited a few minutes before forcing himself down the trail.Comment

Should have waited little longer....Comment

Kudos to a person who can understand when his own life is on the line versus an animal. People who want to put an animal ahead of a humans life is just beyond me. Even a small moose can easily kill a full size male, and he did everything he could to get it out of the way. It was looking down, obviously angry, and came at him not once (after already possibly injuring him and kicking him) but twice, and he put it out as he should have.
I guarantee you not ONE alaskan who has been in a similar situation would have even had a second thought about this video. Put yourself in the same shoes and ask what you would have done. Not the armchair commando crap. Good grief.Comment
