Yes. Get a 1911 in .45 ACP. You'll find that you have no need for .40 S&W.

Take the $ you would spend on the the 45 and buy an RCBS Rockcrusher press kit..You will never have an ammo crises again! Sure you'll have to dig up dies,a shell holder and brass..but you will never be saddled to any perticular caliber...I love the freedom of variety. Personally,I have 10 different calibers to pick from in handguns...a 40 isnt one of them

If you can afford it, get something in all of the standard calibers. Keep what you have and just keep he collection going. Oh, and more ammo too, you can never have enough.
