just checked back for fun. for anyone who cared i put 10mm on hold and bought a freedom arms 454 casull hahahaha yes totally different but taking care of my "woods all arounder" (that's what i wanted this 10mm for - taking care of anything the woods would throw at me) next up the g29 i mentioned in my second to last post before this...

"I havnt checked this in forever but im stoked to read everyones input and appreciate it all. I think after all the ideas im going to go with a gen 3 g29 with the mag extension not pinky extension (as to mimick handle size of my "compact" desire) and an extended barrel. thanks again all! This is why I love the calguns community" - ysimon532

Advocate: why? I basically just wanted a 10mm glock in the size glock calls "compact" like G19 n so forth...that's what lead to this thread.

Bill Steele: Thanks for input not directed to me straight but i liked what i read!

Doublepoint check on the G20 barrel, it will not even fit the G29[/QUOTE]

The Factory G20 Barrel will fit into the 29. I have the 29sf version and my brother has the G4-G20, I have try it out and the barrel from the 20 set perfect inside the 29 frame. The only thing is that i have to know what Guide rod Spring will fit. I put the 20 rod in and it set good but the front side of the rod is Sticking out From the frame slide. I try the 29 rod it fit but it's really Losse To the point where theirs play. All and all just have to fine what matches between both. But if anyone knows let us know.

The 20 barrel and 29 barrel are different and can't be swapped. Different locking lug spacing. While it might fit in the slide, don't attempt to install the slide on the frame or it might lock up and jam.

        Be well

        Bob.

I couldn't possibly be happier with my G29. If I can only pick 1 gun to take with me anywhere, it's always the one I pick. I'm even thinking about picking up a 2nd one.

If/when you get your 10mm, check out LAXammo for practice ball rounds (I get their house brand factory-new stuff), and Underwood Ammo for defensive rounds. Many people will recommend BuffaloBore, but it's usually because they haven't heard of Underwood
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.
