Help me pick a railed 1911

I'm looking for a new 1911 with a rail and I'm having a hard time deciding. Depending on how I like the gun it may end up as a nightstand gun otherwise it will mainly be a range toy.

I've got a few 1911s already but none with a rail. I have a Springfield TRP, Springfield EMP, Kimber tactical custom II, Les Baer P II and Sig nitron

Price isn't a huge issue but obviously the better value for the dollar is important and I would like to keep it under $2000 out the door. What would you pick and why?

Out of those choices, I would go with trp operator or dw specialist. Im actually trying to decide between both myself, specialist plus sse and taxes equal what a used trp operator goes for, owners swear by them both. Seeing that you already have a trp without rail though, I would go for the specialist. Variety is the spice of life.

        Sig 1911 Scorpion.
Why? Because I own one and I love it.
Fit and finish are impeccable, and like most quality 1911's, it just feels "right".
        $900 out the door.

Or the TACOPS if you prefer black.

If you're looking to spend a bit more, one of my friends has an STI SS 5.0. I like his, but I personally couldn't justify the increase in cost over my Sig to get one.
        Sweet gun though.

I'm guessing you don't know what the Professional is. It's okay stick to your RIA and Kimbers.

I had a Springfield mc operator for a while and loved it.. i had to sell it because i needed the money but will definitely buy another one some day. I dont have experience with other rail guns but ive never heard anything bad about the TRP

You'd have a very difficult time finding a 1911 that's better than the Springfield Professional.

I've got two off your list, both have been great. Have a lot more rounds fired out of the Kimber. If I had to chose between the two, the Kimber would win by a small margine. I think you'll be happy with any on your list. But if I was in the market for a $1500ish railed 1911 right know, I'd try to find a Warrior SOC. Pretty much the same gun as the Desert Warrior but with a OD frame and FDE slide. Sweet looking 1911.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Forged in an ISO90001 facility considered to be one of the best in the world, licensed by Fabrique Nationale to produce FALS and by Colt to produce 1911's.

By the way, if you drive an "American" car it only needs 70% of it's parts to be made in Canada, and the rest overseas to qualify as "American" even if not a single part was made in the USA. And we're worried about where forgings come from?

I've have a few (eighteen) 1911's and am a little familiar with them; when I wanted a railed 1911 to me the choice was clear since I could afford it:

I ditched the 1911 and bought a Sig P220 SAO.

Having said that, I would either buy a SA or a Sig if I went 1911 again.
