went to turners and handles. the g30sf and a usp45c...

loved the usp45c, not sure how i feel about the $999 price tag

g30sf just didn't do it for me. i know it's just me, and my comfort level with the da/sa. i still want to see a g36

but at $999 for the hk, i would likely look at another sig...

Saw 3 HK USPc 9mm's at Turners Pasadena last week. Yeah new they are bit pricey, luckily I got mine barely used from a fellow calgunner for a great price and came w night sites and 5 extra mags, love that gun.

Love my G30sf also bought barely used from calgunner w night sites and 5 extra mags as well. The FS here section is your friend, you will become addicted. Haven't bought a gun at Turners in many years since finding this website, except for the SW M&P 9mm picked up last week, couldn't resist at $499 on sale. Haven't had chance to try it out yet. Love the way it feels in my hand though! Unfortunately no 5 extra mags w that purchase.

tgs has the uspc45 for a good price/free shipping..

i was mistaken, it's actually on roster until the end of the year.

i just keel going back to the sig... as much as id like to diversify, there's something to be said about familiarity with the controls...

                  ...or the lack there of.

Suggest that you at least handle, if not shoot, a G36.

Some people don't like them. Usually because they are either used to the blockier std. Glock grips, or they can't get their mind around a SD gunfight involving less than Seven shots plus a reload or two.

Most people that have them, swear by them. And they are a good price if you can find one.

my biggest hesitance is the trigger. with the sig (and h&k) the da/sa is fairly idiot proof. a looooong and heavy da pull.

with the glock, its not very long, and not very heavy.

of course, this is purely from a safety standpoint. its not like a cocked match grade 1911 with the safety off.

The P220 Carry Equinox is awesome. Looks great and shoots even better. Grips are a little thick for CCW, but I'm big for my age....

If you want a long and heavy trigger pull for safety, check out the Kahr PM45. At least it's that way with the rest of the PM series. It's just like a revolver. Even though it's striker fired, the trigger pull is long and heavy, but smooth. They did that specifically for safety.

The benefit of the stiker fired Kahr over traditional DA/SA pistols, is every trigger pull feels exactly like the previous one - unlike a DA/SA pistol. It's much better for accuracy and precision. And Kahr uses a match barrel. For such tiny weapons, they have an outstanding accuracy reputation. I can't believe how accurate and precise I am with my tiny PM9. Everyone who tries it is stunned that such accuracy can come from such a tiny package.

looked at kahrs online... and at that price point it brings me back to sig.

at this point, if i found something at $500-600 id go for it, otherwise I'll be in the lookout for another sig

                              The Glock external safety.

Engage it not IF you are going to shoot... but WHEN you are going to shoot.

                              Otherwise...

                              EDIT:

The Sig 220 Compact's are nice. Looks like Sig made a G36. Same round, form-factor, Bbl. length, and capacity.

                              Empty Wt.
                              220c - 29.6 oz.
                              G36 - 20.11 oz.

                              Trigger Pull:
                              220c - 10 lb./4.4 lb.
                              G36 - ~5.5 lbs.

                              MSRP:
                              220c - $1,050.00
                              G36 - $637.00
                              Sort of...
