From what I gather on the interwebs they are "average" in reliability and performance, with sometimes finicky behaviour based on ammo types, though not as bad as the p22. This is purely an overview based on many reviews, complaints, and praises I read not too long ago.

Was going to get one, heard they are picky with the ammo. Congrats btw, nothing better than a free gun.

        Free guns are great regardless!
Post over in the Rimfire sub-forum for much more info and traffic.
As others said, they seem to be picky with ammo. So stick to round nose non-hollow point for best results I believe.

Since no one answered the price question. I've seen them on sale at Turners mostly around $350.

So far no problem with cheap federal ammo. I am going to try cheap Remington next.

I've had mine for about a year and a half. purchased on sale from turners for $297 OTD. Its a great gun, really accurate, and is holding up pretty well with my 1500+ rounds. Its easy to break down and clean, and really hasn't given me any problems. I tried using bulk federal right away and it was a jam-o-matic. did some reading and broke it in with about 500 rounds of CCI Stingers. Now it shoots just about anything but the lead nose, low power stuff. It even shoots the Rem. gold bullets, rapid fire, without a problem.

Keep it and have fun with it or SELL IT TO ME.
                          I don't own any guns...they're dangerous.

Really? I've tried two of them and got about a four inch pattern at 7 yards. Numerous fte with all kinds of ammo.
(Both were early release, not sure if they've improved)

No such problems with my ISSC, probably hit at about an 1.5-2".
