This is were the Glocks shine, the new Gen 4 kick considerable less than the pervious Gen 3's.10mm is a trip... I read all these bad reviews of how hard it kicks, etc. I did about 20 rounds of Blazer (thats what they had at the range I was at) and it didnt kick all that bad (G30 w/ 29 conversion barrel). I do have to change the recoil spring since the slide was cycling way too fast.
Have you tried .40 in the M&P platform? I shoot the M&P much better then Glock (especially in .40). However, since I started using the grip force adapter, Ive managed to buy a few glocks and actually enjoy them.

I just got a G20sf not that long ago. I've only put a box through it but to me the recoil seemed about the same or less than my G23. And that was with full power HPR loads. I'll probably never shoot my .40 again since I can just burn up my .40 ammo in the 10mm without any problems."Suck on my machine gun" (Ted Nugent)

I got rid of my .40 cals and I don't like the caliber much. Sorry but I feel it isn't THAT much better than 9mm and I'm a placement > POWAAAAA person.
That said... I really want a G17 to go with my G26 but my mom keeps trying to shove my step dad's sweet shooting G23C down my throat... and I fall over .40 ammo everywhere...
Ironically Big5 has tons of 5.56 and .223 as well as .40 at the moment where I am...
Go away, .40. I can barely keep up with 9mm and .45!
Also, stop replying to Zenja he's just trolling.Comment

To one their own.... 40 is a great round, but when I was shopping for my first gun, the 45 won me over... then next was the G20, which I now have two of them because I fell in love with so dearly.
Either way, hope you enjoy your new guns!Be the change that you wish to see in the world.Mahatma Gandhi

my G23 and G27 can do BOTH .40 and 9mm with a little help from lone wolf...Originally posted by CFVIf you ask the democrat = that's an uneccesary arsenal

Here are the important points that some apparently missed;
The G21 and G26 are for "duty gun" usage.
As well as he shot the .40 cal, he shoots the .45 much better. Important in a duty gun(s)
"I still love my Kimber, Berretta, BHP and CZ", which presumably are in 9mm and .45. hense his use of the word 'consolidation".
For those of you still posting "kaboom" pictures of the Glock, as a way to intimate that they are unsafe/unreliable, it's time to realize that the "kaboom"
is not brand specific.Comment

Blazer is pretty weak. If you want to feel the true power of 10mm buy some 155gr Underwood ammo @ 1500FPS, I guarantee you will be singing a different tune10mm is a trip... Hah. The OP just jumped out of .40, while I jumped in for the first time partly for the reason you just mentioned - availability.
However, instead of the Glock, I went with a CZ-40b. Nice gun and easy to shoot. I've owned several Glocks, and want very much to like them, but they just don't point well or feel comfortable for me."Two dead?!? HOW?!?"

OP, PSA has used USP 40's with 3 mags on sale for $429. :wow: looks like you better jump back in. You just had crappy guns in .40.

I'm not the biggest fan of .40, I currently do not own a handgun chambered in that caliber. For me at least the recoil is just about that of a .45. But I do agree with a lot that, because it's not the most popular caliber, it seems to be most readily available during times like these. I think certain guns that have the capability of shooting different calibers pose a great benefit, and for that reason I definitely would consider a G22 or 23 for that. Pretty awesome feature in my opinion.Comment

Thanks for that clarification, many here are quick to judge, misunderstand, and even quicker to make up facts and throw dirt.Here are the important points that some apparently missed;

Current caliber break down:
G20 10mm
-------
Kimber 45
Sig P220 45
G21 45
------------
92A1 9mm
BHP 9mm
SP-01 9mm
P-01 9mm
G26 9mm
----------
Buckmark 22lr.
I'm only listing auto-pistols at this point.
