Got my C9 a couple months ago. So far I've had problems with failure to feed. Overall though, the gun is great and accurate.

Finally shot one of these the other day. My old man has the .45 version.

I was really surprised. I put about 4 mags each through the Hi-Point and his Series 1 Kimber. I shot mostly very light SWC reloads and Wolf. The Hi-Point ate the SWC's like nothing. The Kimber FTE'd on every single reload, but fed the Wolf just fine. I was surprised: the Kimber fed the SWC bullets just fine, but didn't eject them.

If someone disapproves of your HighPoint then they can buy you a pistol that they like. HighPoints are good enough, you don't need the endorsement of stangers who don't know anthing more about pistols than you do. Have fun.

I was always told never to get a HiPoint because of their performance issues. But recently the cheap price is enticing and I wouldn't mind getting one for sheets and giggles. Though I do not think I would ever recommend someone getting one. But I would never tell some to absolutely never get it.

When you get it home, go to the range and blast away, clean and lube it first and it will shoot.

I just bought one. A 9 mm version. I've read and seen enough vids to assume its a pretty decent firearm.

Lol. They are solid. Just buy really hot ammo for it, or it won't cycle well.
