    Glock 17 vs 34

I am confused. I thought the barrel is the last thing I need to replace.

G34 because I prefer the increased muzzle weight and longer sight radius.

I would never buy a former range rental gun unless they were selling it for some ridiculous amount like $100. Most are rarely cleaned, rarely serviced, and beaten to ****.

either is fine.. a lot of ppl say it has a longer sight radius which makes it more accurate at longer distance. i've shot both and they both shot equally accurate to me.

34.....I agree with the folks about a range gun being subjected to being beaten. If you do get the range gun I would shoot a GSSF match.....bring the 34 and have the Glock gunsmiths look at it and ask them to replace any parts they deemed necessary. They do it for free (I think). The GSSF matches are fun to shoot too!

I would go with a 34 if I already had a 19. Then... I'd get the 17 later It's the first! Gotta have that...

I think $500 for a former range rental is too much. You save a couple hundred for a potentially beat up gun. I know Glocks are durable and last a very long time. I just can't justify the savings in my head knowing it has been molested by a LOT of people.

            My take. Good luck!

                If I had a 19, definitely a 34.

after the 34, I'd probably grab a 26 next then the 17. While doing so, keep an eye out for a 17L and purchase that immediately should it become available.

As far as the range gun, get more info and make your choice from there.
                  Don't panic bro.

I have a Gen4 17 and thinking about selling it for a 34. Only reason I'm hesitant is I'd have to get a Gen3 here in CA. I have small hands and greatly prefer the Gen4.

Unless your LE or somehow you know you can purchase another gen 4 if you wanted - don't sell it.
