    thin 9MM ccw options

Well I am 4months out from leaving the once great state of California

I am going to be moving to Alabama to attend Auburn University.
    War Damn Eagle!

My current ccw gun is a 642 Jframe
It has neon orange nail polish on the front ramp and the lock removed with a plug installed

I carry that in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster which is a great setup but I am wanting a semi auto carry option.

Ohh ya I am thin... well actually really thin...6' 140lbs
Being very skinny and carrying is tough
Being very skinny and not dressing like Joetacticool makes it even harder

    I am thinking a M&P 9 Shield or a Berretta Nano.
Whatever gun I purchase will be purchased in Alabama so no concern about the roster.

The Ruger LC9 looks ehh to me not really too keen on that.

Are there any other good options?
    Thank you for your help

Ruger SR9c. Very slim. Inexpensive, has a nice trigger out of the box and holds 10+1 rounds of 9mm. Not bad for a compact pistol.

Or carry a full size 1911. Very slim guns.

Or eat something and hit the weight pile for christ sake lol.

You already have the best setup. Enjoy the humidity and the poboys.

HKP7 M7. Thin and compact, super accurate. Exotic. Price is the only downside. For the Southern humidity, consider hard chrome.

I'd go with not worrying about the skinny thing.
Go eat some BBQ and smoke pork and ribs, you'll be less skinny in no time. Haha Jk
I know the feeling OP I'm the same way, but what about looking into the xds 9?
Similar to the shield, but an XD(mypreference for plastic)

Taurus 709 Slim or it's little brother the 738 TCP.

The 709 is a Single Action pistol that you carry in Condition 1 and if for some reason the primer doesn't make the gun go bang after being hit you can try it again with a Double Action pull on the same round.

                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I REALLY like SIG P239 and if You can find a clean used 3914/3913 S&W it another great choice.

Many people with CCW around the country pick a quality single stack 9mm pistols as their main carry guns.

                            Off duty , I REALLY like my 3914 S&W.

A few months of cracklin' cornbread at every meal and you'll be able to carry dual Model 28s in a shoulder holster ....

I leave CA fairly often and every time I see guns that I didn't know existed. So my bet is you'll come up with something different. However, the poly framed version of the Kahr Mk9 is very compact, thin & light. There's a pistol out there called the Rorbaugh and I believe it's shorter and not as tall, but may be heavier. If you can find one the Kimber Solo might be an option.
