Yeah. Don't do it brosky. I'm sure you AF boys have a Command Financial Counselor or something like the Navy's Fleet and Family Services that helps you make a budget and get out of debt. We also have the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society that gives us INTEREST FREE LOANS for situations like this. As long as you can prove its a hardship.
    Don't be dumb.
    1. It is ILLEGAL to purchase with the intent to sell once in Cali.
    2. You can't MAKE money by SPENDING money. Come on dude, what are you running Americas budget too? Lolz.
Be smart, stay safe, BBQ and drink beer.

Definitely don't do it because once you get here you'll go fishing and like all of us here all your guns will be lost on the ocean floor when the boat has an accident.

This plan creates more headaches than profits because of CA's ridiculous gun laws. Don't become a CA resident unless you have to. I learned the hard way.

Do not buy anything with the sole intent of re-selling it.

              BINGO.

Also if you're hurting that bad you need to not be spending money speculatively.

I don't know why people are talking like this is illegal! Don't listen to "IF" BSs!
This is totally legal! If you can't sell all in one year, make it in two.

I say don't do it because you have massive debt. The profit will not be much!

In the event that I end up settling in Cali, however, is it a good idea to try to make a profit before I move? In other words, I was thinking I might purchase some off roster guns that would be very desirable in California, such as:

Ruger LCP (will buy a few of these)
                    Glock Gen 4 9mm
                    Springfield XDM 9mm
                    Springfield XDS 45
                    FNX 9
                    HK P30 or HK45
A KelTec if I can find one
                    EAA Witness
                    Beretta Nano
other guns I can't think of right now

Please understand that I am not trying to be greedy. I have massive debt right now from school and would also like to provide cool guns to people who can't get them. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Are there any guns you would like to see added to this list? Will this raise a red flag to the ATF? Thanks!

Don't do anything that can be construed as illegal. They love putting people in jail in this state.

They are letting felons out early just so they have room for more inmates.

If you do move to Cali and happen to bring any Off Roster handguns into Cali that are hard to get here or collectible, FOR GOODNESS SAKE dont sell them for any more then you originally paid for them (and please dont overpay) no matter what or when it was.

THE POSTING POLICE will crawl out of their woodpile to let you know what a LOWLIFE DIRTBAG you are for not giving them away at your original purchase price or less. Never mind collector value, never mind what anyone offers you, never mind what the market will bear and never mind your own past experience (BECAUSE YOU ARE A LOWLIFE DIRTBAG if you sold something at a price offered you that was more than you originally paid or what the woodpile critters think you should have). YOU ARE THE DEVIL if you don't give them away at what the woodpile critters think you should.

God forbid you should actually list one for sale because they will crap all over your thread and call all their kind to crap on your thread until its such a mess that you might as well keep it as to try and sell it on here. But remember you are the DIRTBAG not them. You have to understand they absolutely must crap on your thread they just cant help. If they don't they will be miserably constipated for days until they find another thread to crap on.

I'm sure there is no hypocrisy on their part. I'm sure that they give away everything they own well below current market value. Kelly Blue Book is for them only a way to make sure they sell well below market value. They get comp prices on their homes to be well below market value. After all anything else would be hypocrisy on their part.

Be prepared for all the posts, emails and PM's telling you what a LOWLIFE DIRTBAG you are.

                        Not that I've been there.

I love how all of you are posting in a necro-bumped thread that is a couple months old when op said he was moving here in a couple weeks.

                            Ya'll need to:
1 Look at post dates before posting.
2 Read the whole thread before posting.
3 Let this stupid thread die.
