    Smoothing out a glock trigger

Went to the range today and shot a few rentals alongside my glock 21 and noticed my glock has a travel that requires little to no pull weight then when its about to break its semi-spongey and requires what feels like alot of force for it to break. The gun itself it a tack driver but after shooting a few other guns I don't like the trigger. I guess what I'm trying to say is there anybody that had expereince with a glock 21 trigger and a kahr pm9 trigger? I shot the pm9 and that trigger was amazing. Nice smooth even pull all the way to when the trigger breaks and what seemed like a pretty light break. Is there any way to simulate this or are glock triggers just made that way? At the very least what would be your recommendation for a trigger with a lighter break? Thanks!

You can get drop in replacement triggers for glock that are adjustable but they're in the $200+ range or you could try a 3.5lbs connector (around $10-$15) and see how that works
there is a bunch of ways to lighten glock triggers but it requires changing out of internal upper and lower parts and reliability with all types of ammo has a tendency of going out the window that's not to say the gun won't work it just can be picky with what a mo it likes to shoot reliably
The bigest thing about glock triggers I feel most people don't understand is the gun is ment to be a combat handgun not a target gun it is designed to work and work hard with any and all ammo. think of it like a tank will it do work in a combat situation? yes. but are the seats comfortable? not really.
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Try the 3.5 pound connector and do the 25 cent trigger job.

            great explanation

keep in mind that it seems like almost all glock reliability problems start with people deciding to "improve" it's design. So depending on what it's purpose is you can choose what to do to it.

I definitely understand that it isn't meant to be that kind of gun, but I feel like the pull weight required is just a tad too heavy for my taste.

Install the factory 3.5# connector that they use in G34/35s.

Just installed a 3.5 lb Ghost trigger, 6lb ghost trigger spring and a 6lb striker spring made by Ghost . I also did the 25 cent trigger job before adding these.Added the Marine spring cups . All of the internals are polished except barrel.

There is a huge difference in the trigger of my G21 now. The trigger reset is very, I repeat very short! Shorter than my G34. I have not shot this new configuration yet but will maybe tomorrow. Will make a thread on it. The trigger feels way different. Cant say for the better at this time, Will make decision after the range trip. Only ****ty thing was I lost the safety plunger spring ,so had to use the Ghost one the spring kit came with. Wanted to keep that part stock. Still looking for it.lol Guess I will have to order one.

Just buy some metal polish from the store and polish all your trigger components. This guy did it, and measured the pull at a full pound lighter after doing it.

A Glock is not a 1911, but if you pull the trigger 50,000 times it will feel normal.

The newer Wolf coated 3.5 and a polish job does wonders. It makes it a more smooth pull and brake. I wouldnt change springs due to reliability issues.

most of the advice before me are great except for the suggestion of adding a marine spring cups.

Is changing to the 3.5lb connector something a beginner could do? I have never detail stripped my glock and it is my first handgun.
