I think the only thing we'll mostly agree upon is that buying from out of state FFL's and having Ade do the x-fer is the way to go!!!!

The last 6 guns I've bought (new guns, anyway) have been from out of state FFL's. I will not buy a gun from a local shop again. It's gotten to the point where high prices and terrible customer service preclude me from supporting our local shops, which I'd prefer to do. But, when that support costs me $100-$200 per gun in price premiums, and I DROS a new gun every 30 days, it hurts the wallet too much.

SVTNate, You seem to have a real problem with your understanding of the written word. In one instance YOU are "assuming", (I hope you know what that means), and in the next you can't even understand what "on down the line" means. It is inclusive->meaning from full-auto right on down to a single shot .22. I'm done trying to explain to you as I don't have time for such a small individual that only wants to nitpik others in order to boost their own ego. You're right and I'm wrong ! Are you happy now? Now run along and see if you can start some mindless dribble with someone else that gives a rat's ***. I am not inclined to dealing with A****les on my off hours when I'm not being paid for it.

Bout a year or so ago, I saw Evan at the Costa Mesa show hawking his overpriced FAB-10 that he makes, and he seemed like a pretty good guy, and it seemed like a pretty good thing at the time. About a week later, Pops and me went to his shop to see what he had, and he was giving us a hard time cause we were just looking and we werent gonna buy anything that day. When I found out how much he wanted for those rifles, I politely said "Thank you sir, Semper Fi" and walked out.

As far as On Target, last time I was there; they wouldn't do any ship in's of any kind. Only what you buy or order from them.
That's a big negative. Also, they said they'll do PPT's; but flat out said they're gonna make you wait a long time. Plusses, it's the closest range to me; I'm really close to joining, don't like those policies, though.

Firing Line in HB. Sure, you wanna ship something in, we'll do that. That'll be $150 please. NFW on that- no more bizness from me.

Turner's - Often low prices on common stuff as the Walmart of guns. If you want a PPT, that'll be a few hours until we can get around to you.

Saddleback - went there once. Decent kinda guy, old shop, old guns. Quoted a cheap price on shipins. Apparently sole proprietor or doesn't care 'cuz he smokes in the shop and so does every customer. I don't so I'm not a customer, can't stand it.

Ade - good guy. Will do anything legal in my experience. A little slow and usually crowded and/or busy on the phone. That's a good sign, he's got a lot of repeat business. A little higher on fees than some, but not the highest. Will accept any legal ship in for his fee, only asks that you give him first chance on ordering at a better price for you. I collect some odd things, so this hasn't really worked so far. But, I am planning on getting a Glock and a 1911 relativley soon. These I'm just gonna flat buy from his stock or order; I kinda owe him.

Not anymore. The Firing Line will not do any out of state transfers at any price.

People are told to go to Grant Boys or Ade's.

Well check again cause with the new owner those policies may have changed.

I can vouch for Ade, I picked up a couple of lowers through him, and he's a hell of a nice old man. While I was waiting, I even picked up a few Mercury dimes and Buffalo nickels to plug some holes in my folders.

Went to Ade's today to ask some questions on certain guns. But I did stop by the shop a few yards from Ade's that everybody seems to hate, lol. Yep, I did stop at Fowlers to look and fondle some Sigs, Rugers and an M1A. I had a decent salesman help me and pretty quickly regrading how busy they were. He even told about why they don't carry any military type rifles due to the owner not wanting it in his store. But the guy was very helpful and polite. But man I have to admit, they have a great selection (eye candy) for me to drool on. Prices were almost like Turner's. By the way, the Turner's in Norwalk is great. FYI!

Stay away from Fowlers. They suck! Bunch of racists and elitists.

Grants Guns has a decent inventory. They're on Newport BLVD just before 17th.
Racist HMMM. I was just there today OMAR was helping me. Definitely not Arian.

I do believe they donated an M1A 2years ago at the friends of the NRA banquet. Where did you here that they supported the AW ban? The place has been there about fifty years, and a lot has changed since the old man died, but I had not heard they supported the ban. Please provide details
