Best OC Gun Store?

I've been looking around for a SIG 239 (both DA/SA and DAK) as well as a Springfield Ultra Compact... no one has them in stock in OC. Been to a few Turners, Fowlers in Orange, and 2 other in Westminister.

Which gun store in OC or LA have a good selection of handguns??

And what ever happened to B&B... loved there selection... but they disappeared a few years ago.

Try Ade's. I don't know too much about selection but he can order one for you. Great guy!

I'm all for Ade's too... I've gotten 5 lowers through him... but I want to try the trigger pull of a SIG DAK trigger vs. a standard DA/SA.. and also want to feel the weight of the Springfield Ultra compact in my hands before deciding on on

Ade is a sig dealer and always has a few. He had the DAK p229 there a few months ago. He also always has a few 1911's from springfield

The dak is possibly the sweetest DA pull I have ever felt on a stock pistol.

Ade's doesn't have a large selection is stock, but can get you what you want. I typically go to the larger stores and look at their guns, then buy from a small time FFL. I have bought from Turners though.

Stay away from Fowlers. They suck! Bunch of racists and elitists.

Grants Guns has a decent inventory. They're on Newport BLVD just before 17th.

I was planning to go back to Ade's after I check out the guns at Turners .. but they didn't have them in stock. Want to support Ade's for his willingness to do all the lower transfers he helped me out.

I'll check out Grants tomorrow... passed by it a few times in the past but never went in to check them out. True on Fowler's... they gave me a "what the f... do you want" attitude and when I asked for the Springfield Ultra compact and SIG 239, they didn't have them in stock and said they don't carry them cause they are not approved for CA cause they aren't safe. I know the SIG 239 is approved for CA for sure... not sure on the Springfield Ultra Compact.

Anyone know if B&B is out of business or did they move?? In the 80's and 90's they were the biggest gun store around with one in Westminister and another in Hollywood.

As for Fowlers i just dont buy there cause they are way to expensive. Good selection tho.

And Good Lord, don't ask Fowlers for any sort of black rifle. They think their evil. And if it's not Ruger, then it's ****. The guy talked down to me when I asked about the KTSU16.

Then I hear an overly loud salesman behind the counter telling black racist jokes to customers. You just don't do that in a place of business. Have some professionalism. I won't ever step foot in their gun shop ever again.

That and their insane prices.

Ever been embarassed for somebody? I was so embarassed for this guy, I couldn't even look up. I had to close my eyes in disgust. I then left... with my eyes open. But never saw the guy.

Go to Turner's, Grant's, Fowler's or wherever to window-shop and fondle the merchandise..... 'cause they usually have good selections.

But go to Ade's to buy. He runs decent prices, can order pretty much whatever you want and is overall a good guy to deal with.

We need to support the little ffl's who are willing to work FOR us rather than the larger chains and outlets that are running insane prices and have sub-par service.

Just my .02 worth. I'm probably dehydrated and delirious from the sun, so if anybody doesn't agree..... oh well.

B&B Sales is gone from Southern California. Whether they opened up somewhere else is beyond me. They closed in February of 2002. At the time, I believe reading about the ATF giving them the old hassle for a myriad of things. Add to that BBB complaints from customers and I think the Kahn brothers said enough of this ****. After helping the LAPD in 1997 with the Hollywood shootout, you think they would get some consideration?

It was my absolute favorite gunstore. I bought 4 or 5 guns from them. I lost some faith though after they double charged my credit card for a Beretta and refused to fix it. I had to complain through my credit card to get things resolved.

Turners in Chino has a used/consignment Sig P239. Don't know if you want to drive that far.

Fowlers is one of the worst stores to deal with. I have never recieved even the slighest bit of respect or service. Last time I was in there I badly needed VV powder for major 9mm and my delivery from Midway was late. 2 times the guys behind the counter walked away from me after asking for the powder and them asking me what round I was loading for. They left and went in the back room and never came back out. At $30.00 a lb some one should have said "Hell ya we do sucker...How many lbs can I get for you". over a 1/2 hour later I finally got someone to get it for me and I left.
