streamlights tlr1 is a solid light for a good price but i dont like how it sticks past the muzzle on a glock 19,.

i got a viridian ctr ($150) for the simple fact that it sits recessed

I have TLR-3 on my both handguns and 5.56 carbines, works great so far.

I have a TLR- 1 ($99) and a TLR-2. Both are good lights. My only complaints are: The battery compartment is a pain to open and close and I could do without the silver "bling" looking bezel. I ended up duracoating both because I dis-liked the looks so much. The laser on the TLR-2 is pretty much useless outside in bright daylight. You can't beat streamlights prices though.

While having a 2nd light (or even tertiary light if you're including a long gun + light) is a smart thing, a dedicated light on the handgun allows you to illuminate any given threat as well as keep a free hand to dial 911 or open doors, etc.

Anyone try a streamlight TRL2-g? It's the latest with a green laser. Specs show 200lm vs 300lm of the std TLR2. Don't know about center beam intensity.

Only a few places have it online. I have not seen it locally.
