Nope, both Pro Series models in 4.25" and 5" barrels are off-roster.

A standard M&P plus Apex guts is probably a better investment anyway. But there are shops that do SSEs for M&Ps.

had the same problem, (with the front sight dot popping out), on both my m&p45's. replaced all of them with trijicon sights
That may be a CG first!

And now, the FTS. yes, that stands for Failure to Sight.

          a closer look:

When i realized the white dot popped out (somewhere in the first 10 rounds of the day) i looked around for 2-3 seconds before thinking "what is the point of looking". spend the other ~190 rounds and the rest of the day with no front sight. could be worse, but now i'm prompted to either use a white paint pen to fill it in, OR just buy new sights.

Oh, I also got a first round hit with the M&P on a 2' steel plate at ~200 yards

          update:

          Come at me, bros.

believe it or not, there was a time, that all sights were black, and had no dots, or colors.

I would do the same, except there's no place to shoot steel around my neck of the woods that I know of.

Oh, and don't forget the 2 liters and pumpkins.

Speaking of which, look who I ran into during one of my range trips to Reeds. Just kidding, just kidding!

Oh, I know. But things have much improved since then. Having a quality set of sights (especially front) make keeping your eye on it that much easier.

I'm even tempted to put a MRD sight on it (Trijicon RMR) but that would not be for a while

There was also a time where we didn't have cars, I don't want to be there

I think next up is a DG switch so I can run my x300 on this gun, and a holster to accomodate.

                        Had my "dot" pop-off too.

Not really a big deal; bit of Magic Marker and I had all black sights which are, at least I feel, more accurate than the "3 dot" system. If you like dots, however, a bit of white paint is a good fix.

My preferred set-up is a front night-sight and no dots on the rear. I've found three glowing dots just too confusing a sight picture.

Yeah, I may black out the rear sight for now and see how I like it.

my new sights will either be blank rear or a single dot under the notch - haven't decided yet.

I prefer an all black rear.

Has anyone had accuracy issues with their 1:18.75" twist barrels? I know Hilton Yam did a brief write up regarding accuracy/twist rates with the M&P9.

Has anyone here had personal experience with that?

and for any who are curious, the date stamp on my shell casing envelope is 4/26/2011 so I doubt i have the "new-production" (2012 and on) barrel.
