Get the light first, make sure your pistol works with the light attached (some do, some don't, some depend on the light), and then worry about which holster you need.

Don't pay too much attention to the "Serpa is unsafe" bunch - it's a training issue. I've carried/trained with and trained many, many officers and civilians with the Serpa and have not had an issue to date. They aren't terribly light-friendly unless you buy their lights, though.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Copy. Looks like the light is a must and a winner in this thread.

I love my TLR-1 but if you are looking for a Surefire x300 Ultra (500 lumens) LA Police Gear has them on sale for $209.
The Surefire Brand X300 Ultra Weaponlight delivers a stunning 600-lumen beam focused by a precision TIR lens. We have used the Surefire X300 in combat and can vouch for it. LAPG is your most reliable and trusted Surefire Brand Dealer.

Don't know if that's a good price or not. By the way, you should not pay more than $99 for a TLR-1.

Get a light first and then a holster to fit your gun/light combo,

I have a Streamlight TLR-2 light/laser combo on my G21 and it has been great.

I have a Bravo Concealment holster to carry the combo, they will build you a top quality holster for any gun/light combo you might have. Order now because they take about two months to ship.

          Check them out: http://bravoconcealment.com
