Carrying with an empty chamber...

While feel that I could carry with one in the chamber, I just don't feel that I have enough experience/training to do so.

With this in mind, if I ABSOLUTELY had to carry at this point then I would do it with a loaded mag/empty chamber. My reasoning is that I'd rather give myself a fighting chance than no chance at all.

Carry empty but clocked. Check to so that its still cocked every time you put the gun away. At some point you'll realized its not going off by itself.

True, if you draw or reholster with the safeties off AND your finger on the trigger, you will eventually end up with a new orifice, but that's a training issue. The same could happen while reholstering a DA/SA if the operator fails to decock a pistol in SA mode and holsters with the finger on the trigger...

LOL! Yup! Got to follow rules. Finger off the trigger unless you're ready to shoot. Holstering and unholstering is not ready to shoot.

a gun with a empty chamber carried for defence = a rock.

this was sop some time back but only for safety, as the hammer could have been hit and set off the cap.
