If I'm not going back to the range the next few days, then I usually clean it after every range session.

        I thought Glocks were self-cleaning.

My buddy goes 2 years out, but it's been coated with Frog Gut lube.

Barrel gets cleaned after every match.

That reminds me of Bravo Company when they did that test several thousand rounds no cleaning just oil (Slip EWL) anyone remember?

Yup, Glocks can run clean and dry, or dirty and oily, but not dry and dirty, especially the barrel hood. I have run over 20,000 rounds without cleaning, except for the barrel. It's not magic, it's just how the gun works. Running them clean and oily is just to easy....

I clean mine whenever I get around to it.

Now, my Les Baer or other more expensive firearms, I clean when I get home from the range.

I clean mine after every range trip.

It is my carry gun though so I keep it clean like new

Usually wipe down after range. Clean randomly when I get a wild hair upmy *** to do it. My carry gun I strip and clean every time I shoot though

                                Several thousand? I remember...it was over 30,000!

Link to article on Slip site (reprinted from SWAT mag article):
Bravo Company Carbine Goes 31,165 Rounds THE M16 WAS FIRST PROMOTED AS A GUN THAT NEEDED NO MAINTENANCE. While that statement proved false, a number of factors, including propellant powder and a lack of cleaning supplies and training, led to failures on the battlefield that are still being ballyhooed by muckrakers and

Worth a quick read imo. The AR people should read it too

OT: We wiped down our new (late last year) 34 after a couple hundred rounds, put some stinky Slide-Glide on it and ran it a few hundred more rounds. I think it needs FrogLube to sweeten up the house now?
